Refund policy
Refund & Return Policy
At O.Docent, we want you to love your meticulously handcrafted jewelry. Please review our return, refund, and cancellation policies carefully before placing an order.
1. Return Windows & Eligibility Our return policy depends on the production type of your item:
-
Ready to Wear Items: You have 7 business days after receiving your item to request a return.
-
Made to Order Items: All Made to Order, custom, bespoke, personalized, and engraved items are Final Sale. They cannot be returned, exchanged, or refunded.
-
Non-returnable items: Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.
2. Order Changes & Cancellations
-
Made to Order Items: Because the sourcing and production process begins immediately, we do not accept cancellations once an order is placed.
-
Modifications: You may request changes to your ring size or metal type (e.g., Yellow Gold to White Gold) within 24 hours of placing your order. Changes requested after 24 hours may not be possible or may incur a 10% fee. We cannot accommodate changes to the overall design or the center stones.
3. Return Conditions & Process To start a return, you can contact us at info@odocent.com. You will also need the receipt or proof of purchase. If your return is accepted, we will send you an RMA (Return Merchandise Authorization) code, an insured return shipping label, and instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return (or without an RMA code) will not be accepted. We are not responsible for loss or damage if you use a non-provided shipping label.
Please note that returns will need to be sent to the following address: O.Docent 3435 Wilshire Blvd. Suite 2370, Los Angeles, CA 90010
-
Item Condition: To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the exact condition that you received it—unworn, undamaged, and unscratched, with all original packaging, certificates, and tags included. Items that do not meet these conditions upon inspection will be rejected or may incur up to a 20% restocking fee.
4. Refunds & Store Credit We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not.
-
Refunds: If approved, eligible Ready to Wear returns will be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days, minus a 15% restocking fee and round-trip shipping costs. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. If more than 15 business days have passed since we’ve approved your return, please contact us at info@odocent.com.
-
Store Credit: If you opt for store credit instead of a refund, the 15% restocking fee will be waived. (Note: Items purchased with store credit are Final Sale).
-
Altered Pieces: If a Ready to Wear piece has been sized, re-sized, or altered in any way, it is eligible for store credit only.
5. Exchanges The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have for store credit (to waive the restocking fee), and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.
6. Damages and Issues Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately (within 7 days of delivery) with photos if the item is defective, damaged during shipping, or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right. Upon approval, we will repair or remake the piece.
7. International Orders & European Union 14-Day Cooling Off Period
-
Standard International Orders: We do not accept returns, exchanges, or resizing requests for international orders. All standard international sales are Final Sale.
-
EU Customers: Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.
8. The Nature of Handcrafted Jewelry Because each piece is individually crafted by hand, slight variations are normal and add to the unique character of your jewelry. Minor differences in stone color, metal texture, or hand-finished details (such as milgrain) are standard characteristics of handcrafted art and are not considered defects.
