About O.DOCENT

A docent is someone who shares the story behind each work in a gallery. The name O.Docent reflects our wish for jewelry and objects to be more than things we simply pass over—but pieces we look at, connect with, and live with, the way we would a work of art in a gallery.

We also believe that art shouldn’t feel out of reach. O. Docent was created with the belief that more people should be able to bring art into their everyday lives through thoughtful design, honest quality, and prices that don’t feel distant. We create jewelry and objects meant to be worn, used, and kept close as part of daily life.

As Ella Yoo Jewelry evolved to focus primarily on bridal jewelry, its broader fine jewelry vision grew into O. Docent—an independent brand created to explore jewelry and objects beyond the bridal world.

O.Docent is built on the distinct perspectives and experience of its founder, Ella Yoo, and co-founder, Jeffrey Kim. Ella brings the artistic vision, approaching each design as a complete work of art, while Jeffrey helps shape how that vision reaches the world. With more than a decade of experience in business and sales within the U.S. fashion industry, he has worked closely with retail buyers from major department stores to independent boutiques. His understanding of the retail landscape and instinct for connecting a brand with its audience bring a strong commercial perspective to O.Docent.

By bringing together the vision and experience we have each developed in our own fields, we create jewelry and objects that bring art into everyday life. From the selection of materials to the final finish, we pursue uncompromising quality. Rather than chasing fleeting trends, we choose designs meant to be lived with and kept close for years to come.
